This 1000-hour program spans 14 months and is designed to lead students toward becoming a licensed barber under the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). The curriculum focuses on mandatory sanitation requirements, skin and scalp care, and the technical skills of haircutting and shaving. Students will learn the specifics of straight razor work, chemical hair treatments, and the business fundamentals of running a barbershop. By the end of this course, you will have the practical and theoretical knowledge necessary to sit for the state board exams and start a professional career in the beauty and grooming industry.
